Appointment and Promotion of Academic Staff

The University Council has approved a set of criteria for appointment and promotion of academic staff. 

In a memo dated December 1, 2020, The Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic Affairs, Prof. Ogeng'o clearly notes that there are amendments made to the criteria for appointment and promotion of academic staff. 

The Deputy Vice Chancellor, Human Resource and Administration, Prof. Enos Njeru has released the circular to all staff. 

Academic qualification, Supervision of postgraduate students and publications are among the items that have new proposals for the positions of Professor, Associate Professor, senior lecturer, lecturer and tutorial fellow.
