The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Stephen Kiama has urged all staff and students to continue to work from home. Following his directive and the government's directive that employers should allow their employees to work from home that came on Monday March 16, 2020.
The Vice Chancellor made a follow-up communication on Monday March 23, 2020 to urge the lecturers and the students to use online tools for teaching and learning. Through the Director ICT and the Director ODEL,lecturers should be able to conduct classes online. All students and staff have been urged to regularly check their E-mails for updates.
The Director ICT and all ICT staff have undertaken training of all the University staff so that they may be able to access the online platforms and work from home efficiently. Those that do not have the tools , that is a laptop and internet connectivity, can alternatively report to the office while maintaining a social distance.
