The University's Productivity Measurement Committee underwent a five day training at the Wangari Maathai Institute for Peace and Environmental Studies.

The Committee has membership drawn from the Human Resource Department, Administration Department as well as Faculties.

The training was opened by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Stephen Kiama who noted that productivity measurement will assist the University in assessing its efficiency, quality of service, competitiveness, innovation, and sustainability. Measuring productivity will also be critical in gaining insight into the management intervention needed to improve efficiency and overall performance.

Other members of University Management present included the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Research, Innovation and Enterprise , Prof Margaret Hutchunson, the Chief Operations Officer Mr Brian Ouma, Ag. Director Human Resource Ms Jane Gatune among others.
