Staff Training Development Fund 2022/2023

The Office of the Director Human Resource has announced the call for applications for the Staff Training and Development Fund for the academic year 2022/2023. The applications are received online and the application forms are on the University intranet. 

Scan and send the filled application form, current appointment letter, admission letter through email to stdf@uonbi.ac.ke  by October 30, 2022 

1.What you need to know about the fund:

 

The fund aims at giving 40% of tuition fee financial support to members of staff pursuing various academic programmes( from Certificate to Masters level), under Module II Degree Programmes within the University of Nairobi.  The courses to be pursued should be relevant to their duties and add value to their performance.

 

2.Objectives of the fund:

a)To support staff to acquire necessary relevant skills and ensure staff get financial support on merit.

b)To award an approved STDF percentage of tuition fees  for staff pursuing various academic programmes.

3.Criteria for Offer:

A staff member must meet the following requirements for award of STDF:

a.       Worked in the University of Nairobi for at least five (5) years on Permanent and Pensionable Terms of Service.

b.      Applied for the current year of study (no backdating of awards).

c.       Paid up to 60% tuition fees for the current year of study

d.      Completed the three (3) years bond period after graduation.

e.       Have no fee arrears.

f.       Apply for courses that are tenable at the University of Nairobi
